The sign-up sheet is now available for our May mini-LAN. This'll be a late one since the last Saturday happens to be the last day of the month, too, the 31st. We hope to see you there!

Extra Mini-LAN this month
Be aware, we will be hosting two Mini-LANs this month, one at our regularly scheduled date and time on the 26th, and an extra one a week prior on the 19th from 4:00pm to noon the next day. This decision was made due to the redeployment of our friend Justin ("jdierking" or "Jammer") on the 26th, and the obvious inability for him to make the normally scheduled Mini-LAN. More information on the situation can be found in the forum topics HERE and HERE.
We hope to see you at both events, but we may just forgive you if end up at Whempys LAN on the 19th, instead. See you there!

Upcoming Gaming SIG Events
For those of you who make it to our LAN parties, you already know that that the Gaming SIG is growing at a steady rate, and we kick it every last Saturday of the month. We had a good time this last weekend at the September LAN, with faces new and old showing up to get their PCs and Xboxes rocked. It was also a chance for me and anyone else without a 360 to try out Halo 3 for the first time since its release last week. Good times!
Anyway, it's time to make some announcements regarding the Gaming SIGs upcoming events. This month, members of the Gaming SIG are putting the breaks on its regularly scheduled programming. Instead of the end of the month LAN party, SIG members are volunteering at a benefit called Gaming For Tristin, scheduled for Saturday, October 20th, starting at 10:00 AM and going until 10:00 PM. The event will feature tournaments for Guitar Hero 2, Halo 3, Texas Hold'em and Wii Sports Tennis, with proceeds going to help an 8 year old boy fighting Landau Kleffner Syndrome. Check the site, Gaming4Tristin.com, for more details!
The Gaming SIG also plans to have its annual Black November LAN on November 24th. It's become somewhat of a tradition to hold a LAN party directly following Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, so that gamers can show off all the new tech stuff they got for dirt cheap. Bring your games and gadgets and get fragged.
Also of interest is upcoming DAYCON 2007 hacker convention at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. While not directly related to gaming, this is an event that is sure to grab the attention of a few of the visitors to this site. Check out the site, http://www.day-con.com/.
More updated will come in a bit. We're deciding what plans we have for the end of the year, with perhaps a New Years LAN party. Check back, and I'll see you guys at one of these events soon!
